In-Lab ECU Unlock for Bosch MD1CS006 (TC298) & MD1CS016 (TC399)

This service unlocks your factory-locked Bosch MD1CS006 or MD1CS016 ECU. The ECU must be physically sent to one of our OBD Portal headquarters for the In-Lab ECU Unlock procedure.

BOSCH MD1CS006 — TC298 · BOSCH MD1CS016 — TC399

Vehicle Coverage:
Compatible with all Renault vehicles equipped with Bosch MD1CS006 or MD1CS016 ECUs from 2018 to 2026 model year — including ECUs produced after 2021 that come factory-locked.

Once unlocked, we return the ECU to you ready for use. You can then apply any modification you need using the SCR/AdBlue Fix Tool in OBD Portal Software directly via OBD.

Exclusive to OBD Portal Software
This In-Lab ECU Unlock is designed to work exclusively with our SCR/AdBlue Fix Tool in OBD Portal Software. It is not compatible with any third-party tuning tool, software, or application. The unlock cannot be used for reading or writing with other tools.

Important Requirements
The modification applied after unlock requires:

  • A working UDM (Urea Dosing Module)
  • A functioning AdBlue level sensor
  • A full AdBlue tank (AdBlue or water)

If the UDM or level sensor is faulty or not communicating, the software solution cannot be applied.

Step 1 — Remove & Inspect Your ECU
Remove the ECU from the vehicle and check its general condition — inspect the pins, casing, and connectors for any damage before shipping.

Step 2 — Order the In-Lab ECU Unlock
Purchase the In-Lab ECU Unlock on obdportal.com. After your order is confirmed, you will receive a shipping label and order confirmation PDF.

Step 3 — Pack & Ship Your ECU
Carefully pack the ECU for safe transport. Print the PDF sent to you or write your order number on a piece of paper and include it in the package.

Step 4 — Reinstall & You're Ready
Once the unlocked ECU is returned to you, reinstall it in the vehicle. You're now ready to apply modifications via OBD using OBD Portal Software.

Processing Time
ECU processing is typically completed within 24 hours of receipt. Same-day turnaround may be possible depending on availability. Please note that this refers to our internal processing time only — it does not include courier pickup, shipping duration, or potential carrier delays.
