Remote Portal Software

A bridge between your device and the vehicle — work on any car, from anywhere.

Pair Two PassThru Devices Over the Internet

Diagnose & code any car — from anywhere.

Remote Portal links two J2534 PassThru interfaces over the network. The device at the car carries the OBD communication; the technician runs their diagnostic or coding software as if the interface were plugged in next to them.

1Install Remote Portal on both PCs (Vehicle & Technician)
2Vehicle side plugs a PassThru into the car's OBD port
3Share the pairing code — technician runs their tool remotely

How the Pairing Works

A live bridge between both ends

The Vehicle side carries the connection, the Technician side runs the tools — in real time.

Vehicle

At the Vehicle

PassThru plugged into the OBD port. Remote Portal carries the OBD communication across the encrypted bridge.

Needs only the interface + car

Technician

At the Technician

The technician's diagnostic or coding tool connects through Remote Portal as if the car were plugged in locally.

Runs your existing software

Connect from anywhere

The technician's tool runs as if the car were plugged in locally — no interface on their side.

Encrypted session

Each pairing uses a unique code; the link between the two ends is encrypted.

Real-time link

OBD communication is carried live so timing-sensitive routines stay stable.

Who It's For

Built for remote service providers

Stop moving hardware. Bring your expertise to any car, wherever it is.

Sell remote diagnostics & coding

Offer paid remote sessions — diagnostics, ECU coding, adaptations — to customers anywhere with the Global license.

Multi-bay workshops

Keep your tooling at one station and connect to any bay over the local network — no wheeling laptops around.

Key & module specialists

Run brand-specific or hard-to-license tools remotely for shops that don't own them — the car stays on their lift.

Mobile techs & partners

A field tech plugs in the interface on the Vehicle side; the back-office technician does the work. One pairing code links them.

Connection Requirements

A stable link matters on both ends

Remote Portal carries live OBD communication, so connection quality directly affects session stability — especially for timing-sensitive coding routines.

A stable internet connection on both sides — wired is preferred over Wi-Fi. The Local license needs both devices on the same network; Global works across the public internet worldwide. Each PC needs a J2534 PassThru interface with drivers installed (Vehicle side connects to the car). Keep the vehicle on a battery maintainer during long remote coding sessions.
